What is ClubSportEdinburgh?
ClubSportEdinburgh is an organisation recently established to represent the voice of sports clubs in the City. This group is being set up to replace the previous Edinburgh District Sports Council which has been dormant for some time, and will be open to all Edinburgh-based sports clubs and organisations. Membership in the first year will be free and it is hoped that clubs in the city will register as members.
Aims and Objectives

· To promote interest and participation in sport and physical recreation in the City of
· To co-ordinate and promote the work of the various sports clubs in the City of
· To promote and support competitions, championships other sports events as considered desirable
· To encourage good management and an awareness of health and safety in sports clubs within the City of
· To assist in the formation of sports clubs where none exist and where there is demand, or where the existing clubs are unable to fulfil current needs
· To encourage young people to become involved in sporting and recreational activities and to develop their abilities at an appropriate level
· To receive reports and recommendations from sports clubs within
· To publish and maintain a website with up-to-date information on the work of ClubSportEdinburgh and its members
· To foster, in all matters connected with sport and physical recreation, links between ClubSportEdinburgh and any other recognised body expressing a similar interest in developing club sport
